Last week I received the BEST PR drop off. Hendricks Gin has added a big dose of creativity to their latest campaign, which I really appreciate. Brands are always caught between being over the top creative but then potentially have backlash there for or playing it safe and not really delivering anything memorable. These guys did an amazing job when two zombie type people knocked on the door. I’d rather say they’re living mexican sugar skull Lady Gaga reps than zombies!
The Hendricks Gin delivery included a bottle sized coffin with a bottle off Hendricks nestled safely inside. But why?
The Fiesta of Near Death Experiences is an annual event held on July 29th in the small town of Las Nieves in Spain, where locals celebrate the near death experience of a saint.
Mathias Simonis (Trick Dog), San Francisco created the Health & Beauty cocktail to tip their hat to the spicy citrus notes and coriander seeds found in Hendricks Gin. Here’s the recipe:
- 50ml Hendricks Gin
- 25ml Lavender Syrup
- 12.5ml Lemon Juice
- 12.5ml Lime Juice
- 25ml Heavy Cream
- Egg White
In honour of the Near Death Day, Hendrick’s Gin, has created a cocktail and film which celebrates a pioneering endeavour undertaken by two brave British mountaineers, George Mallory and Andrew Irvine, who embarked on an intrepid venture to be the first to reach the top summit of Mount Everest in 1924.
