And now UberEATS is expanding from the Atlantic Seaboard to Mowbray, Rondebosch, Newlands, Claremont and Bishopscourt!
Does it Actually Work?
You may have caught my Snapchat video on Saturday night, but if not, it was the first time I tested out UberEATS. Mr John and I drove to Sea Point and parked at the beach. We ordered Crumbs & Cream which swiftly arrived, followed by an DIVINE meal from Engruna Eatery. I’d never heard of them before, but we liked the look of their menu and enjoyed their food even more!
I ordered qusadiyas, the croquets of the day and Mr John ordered a really complicated burger – no garnish, no may, just beef and cheese. I also requested extra napkins. We drove back to our home in the Southern Suburbs and opened everything up and were REALLY PLEASANTLY surprised that everything was SPOT ON! NOT ONE MISTAKE! Well done Engruna & UberEATS!
How It Works
If you’re already an Uber customer you don’t have to do much! Just download the app and sign in using your uber info (it should pull it automatically) and voila! When we ordered we could only order from 1 place at a time, BUT the update this week now allows you to order from 2 places at the same time!
UberEATS in Cape Town
Tomorrow UberEATS will be available on the Atlantic Seaboard as well as:
Uber Eat in Joburg
As well as in parts of the parts of the Westrand in Joburg including:
- Cosmo City
Give UberEATS a go, so far we have been really impressed – both with their philosophy and with their service. You can order from anywhere (doesn’t need to be a home), but just make sure you put the correct address in. I haven’t figured out how to use the location pin yet so my addy was a bit off and the poor guys went to 2 different places. So make it as close to a road as possible, so that you can meet them.
