Seven Sins, Gardens, 05.06.11.

After hearing a few little tweets about this Kloof street establishment, I was glad to find myself exploring the premises this weekend. Themed on the 7 deadly sins: gluttony, wrath, greed, sloth, lust, pride and envy, this decorative restaurant lures you in with its eclectic artwork and beautiful cakes shining from the display window. Imagine a million Rand was pumped into Observatory’s eateries, Seven Sins would illustrate the upgraded version of this day dream!

Reasonably priced with an curious feel, this multi-roomed restaurant / cafe will provide the perfect lunch spot, birthday party venue, function venue, etc. as its separate rooms (smoking / non smoking) allow for different parties to have fun without over powering other diners, often a downfall of small restaurants in Cape Town.

The menu changes frequently and is, therefore, chalked up on the wall. Ranging from traditional South African dishes (pies and boboties), lunch regulars (salads and sandwiches), burgers and platters, along with the gorgeous looking desserts on display, this hearty menu (and portions) will cater for all tastes.

I asked the waiter if he had a pamphlet about the restaurant explaining more about the restaurant concept or ethos but, although the service was attentive and efficient, I received no answers for my queries. It seems this restaurant will only divulge itself through the unique dining experiences of its customers.
