Never heard of it? That’s ok! Long story short, it’s an amazing one day festival in central London that focusses on drum n bass. Presented by south London’s drum & bass authority Hospital Records and their world famous events brand Hospitality, the festival has 7 stages filled with every genre of drum n bass.
Why would we go there? Because it’s Mr John’s 40th this October and we wanted to make hay while the sun shines! Plus, it’s our 4th wedding anniversary coming up in March so we thought we’d combine the two into a fun, quick trip.
The lineup for the festival is INCREDIBLE and there are so many amazing artists on the line up, but here’s who I’ll be Here’s who will be on the line up. EXCITED MUCH?! These are my top 3 artists that I won’t be missing. Full lineup below!
Camo & Krooked
Obviously we have a soft spot for C&K since hosting them at Pressure earlier in the year. I’ll be nice to see them in an outdoor environment again after Mr John played along side them at Ramfest a few years ago now.
The last time I was in the UK I was alone so poor Mr John didn’t manage to catch Technimatic at the Egg along with my friend Jami and I. She’s a drum n bass DJ from Jozi, who now lives in London, who I was able to drag along. I had THE best time and can’t wait to watch them again. Their album is definitely in my top 10 all time favourites.
Halogenyx was formerly part of Ivy Lab, who played in Cape Town not too long ago. While Mr John is a massive fan of Ivy Lab, I think I might err slightly more on the side of Halogenyx. I’m super keen to hear his set live during the day, compared to the awesomeness that was Fiction.
