I knew it was a good idea when my friend decided to have a birthday picnic at Kirstenbosch gardens. It had been a few months since I last visited the World Heritage site, with over 7000 organic specimens, Kirstenbosch is a beautiful place to relax with friends, family, children, grannies and grandpas! It is also a spectacular wedding venue.
Pick a picnic spot under the trees, visit the restaurant at gate 2 or use the less used top gate 3 to enjoy the Summer Sunset Concerts, which have started already! Kirstenbosch is a special day out, R40 for adults is truly money well spent.
