Forget Oppikoppi, Bands Love Cape Town!

20120627-002033.jpgSince the announcement of numerous international bands at Oppikoppi 2012, Capetonians have been freaking out as to how they’ll find the money to go the festival to see their favourite international bands. But of course BCTC is always trying to save a buck now to spend at a party later, so I’m happy to announce that many of the internationals will be playing in Cape Town anyway!

Oppikoppi is rad but it ain’t all that because half the artists are from Cape Town anyway, so whilst the other half of the country “jizz”, “shit” and “crap” themselves (taken from Oppikoppi Facebook page), Cape Town sees most of the line up throughout the year, whenever they want anyway. BUT I KNOW it’s about the internationals, well it seems Hilltop (organisers of Oppikoppi) love Cape Town too and haven’t forgotten the home of subcultures either.

The announcement of Eagles of Death Metal are playing at Grand West on August 9th was the first clue until the announcement of a mega line up of Hilltop’s One Night Only in Cape Town! featuring Bullet For My Valentine, Seether, Kongos, Enter Shikari and Eagles of Death.

Gates open at 2pm with the show starting at 3pm until midnight. Ticket prices are as follows:

R473.00- Golden Circle

R420.00 – General Standing

R380.00 – Mezzanine Blocks G – L

R420.00 – Disabled Platform

This show sounds awesome, my only regret is that Hilltop is using Computicket. After the Lady Gaga F-up yesterday (as per most big shows) let me rather not get into it. But to Hilltop, please Google Webtickets. Thanks.
