The Ramfest 2014 line up has been announced. Not only are they bring out 5 killer internationals, they also have a new venue! Ramfest is Cape Town’s premiere rock festival that has been running for 7 years. This year (Ramfest 2013) they featured Pendulum, Rise Against, Bring me the Horizon and As I Lay Dying.2014 will be their 8th event.
Ramfest 2014 welcomes 5 internationals including: indie groups Biffy Clyro (Scotland) and The Foals (England), metal groups Killswitch Engage (USA) and Trivium (USA) and on the electronic dance floor Camo and Krooked (Austria) featuring MC Dynamite (England).
Sadly, I don’t know much of these artists’ music – clearly I’ve been living under a rock! But that’s doesn’t phase me. My favourite thing about festivals is that you get to watch a whole bunch of bands, for the same ticket, that you wouldn’t necessarily support if they were individual concerts.
Ramfest 2014 will also be held at a new venue: Elandskloof Farm, Villiersdorp. This is about 40 kms closer than 2013’s venue. I’m really happy about this because the Riviersondend venue was pretty far, especially if you only want to go through for one day as I did.
Tickets are available for:
- Early Bird (Sept 1st – 1st Dec) = R600
- General (Dec 2nd – Feb 1st) = R650
- Late Tickets (Feb 2nd – Mar 7th) = R700
