Years ago, and I’m talking YEARS ago, my Mom gave me a tub of Blistex. She’s bought it for winter lips but I think I had a cold sore. She gave it to me and when it worked so well she said I could keep it. I savoured that pot of Blistex because it really was magical. For years it lay in my cosmetics draw only being used when necessary. Eventually it ran low and nearly finished, but I kept it anyway. I went to buy a new one but, as a student, got a heart attack when it was R40 a pot! Wow, my life’s not been the same without it – until now.
