[CLOSED] Entry to PWW at Spasie this Wednesday!

Many of you, who have read my blog recently, would have learnt about my wonderful dinner experiences at Cape Town’s hidden restaurant, Spasie. The intimate setting, gourmet food and beautiful wines make for a special dinner experience and comes highly recommended.
On Wednesdays, Spasie host a private invitation-only ‘speakeasy’ vibe, called Pocket Watch Wednesday (#PWW), where guests can expect a more casual atmosphere, but still an incredible food experience. On these nights, Spasie partners with some of Cape Town’s top gourmet food trucks like The Chef’s Bench, Santa Anna’s, Cafeteria, Vegabond Kitchen, and their Executive Chef- Nick Charalambous (previously from The Greenhouse) also participates, along with a few other gourmet food trucks who are called upon to offer delectable meals. (I’ve never eaten at any of these trucks so I’m excited to try them out too!)
PWW
With an added element of live music, board games, Cards against Humanity (a game I’ve been DYING to play!), or just a chilled art display, Spasie focuses on great food and a great vibe no matter what the occasion is at the venue. The starters and dessert are usually priced between R40-R60, mains R50-R80, so everything is under a R100.

How do you get on the list? Me!

I would love to eat anything with Mediterranean flavours that is vegetarian; grilled artichoke hearts, stuffed Zucchini (courgette) flowers, ricotta gnocchi or fire roasted peppers with freshly made pasta. Oh and chocolate, anything with chocolate. Their chocolate ganache look amazing.

The pic is a dark chocolate praline (sooooo good) from my favourite restaurant in my home town.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! My brother’s girlfriend has a food truck, Didi’d Bitch8in Burritos and I have actually helped out when she worked at RTD, so I know how much work goes into the food and how the tiny little space you work with really affects how you prepare dishes. I would LOVE Asian fusion food. I love the fragrant and strong flavours that goes along with Asian and I’m always up for something with a difference, so that’s where the fusion part comes in. =)
