Hello from Amsterdam!
It. Is. FREEZING. Here! OH MY DAYS!
Wow, what a whirlwind I’ve been on. I can’t tell you how happy I am to be wedding FREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! Don’t get me wrong, our wedding day was FANTASTIC! BUT! Organising a wedding is an ALL. CONSUMING. THING! Literally, take everything you like to do, crumple it into a ball and chuck it out the window. No, I’m not wrong. No, you won’t be better than me. Yes, say goodbye to everything UNTIL the day is over and done. But, enough about that for now. For today – I am free! On honeymoon and in Amsterdam.
Since today is my 1 month anniversary since my birthday, I thought it would be a good day to get this dusty, dormant blog on the tracks again. Usually my birthday is the greatest thing for me to look forward to each year. But this year, all I asked was to be left alone. No mails, no Whatsapp’s, NOTHING! Just a day of NO ORGANISING! Which I had, but I didn’t get to tell you how special Mr John made it for me EVEN though I wanted to keep it chilled. I got home at 22:15 on the Tuesday evening and opened the front door to this:
He made me do a treasure hunt in the house to find my presents!
This is why I’ve married the man. I mean, creativity, there’s no replacing it! The next morning I woke up feeling unwell, but he still spoilt me with awesome gifts. This included a new Sorbet double-sided mirror with LED lights. Great for those facial close-ups 😉 And a PopSocket. A what?! Yessir…a PopSocket…
A PopSocket is an awesome thing that Mr John found in Cape Town (after seeing it online in the States), that you stick to the back of your mobile and then it gives you WAY more freedom to use your phone!
I often struggle not to block the microphone while Snapchatting, or trying to take a selfie without dropping the thing. A PopSocket solves all these problems. This is the one I was given (white as to not clash with my rose gold phone 😉 ):
I’ve already had so many wonderful blogging opportunities comes by way this year, but I’ve had to decline 99% of them due to being too busy with Weddingville. I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things and smash out of some fun projects as the year unfolds. THANK YOU to anyone who has still bothered to visit my blog! I’m chatting to the guys at Pop Socket and hopefully I’ll be able to bring you a competition soon 😉
Congrats Meg, looking forward to all the blog content coming our way soon 🙂
So happy I saw you on my Hen Night Robz! Hopefully see you soon now that the madness is over! x (from Rome!)
