Here’s a little snippet of Card on Spokes live from his secret location EP launch last Saturday.
Card on Spokes is the live electronic act of well known Cape Town bassist Shane Cooper, who rose to fame with bands like The Restless Natives (along side Jason Reolon, Kesivan Naidoo +) as well as Closet Snare (Lee Thompson +) after studying at the UCT College of Music.
The launch went back to the last millennium with an epic house party, upgraded 2011 style with braai and dop on sale! The “music room” had lights and sound provided by Hell Fire giving the “dance floor” a full on club vibe, along with a movie room next door and ping pong table outside. Guests were greeted with a shot and glass of punch on arrival before entering the house filled with music.
The lineup included Plaigarythm, Jacobsnake, Hyphen, Mr Sakitumi, COSpokes, Radbeatz and Dank. Needless to say the music pumped! I could literally do a gig like this every weekend. It was so much fun! Thanks and congratulations to Card on Spokes on his new EP In You Go, now available online.
