The Cape Town Festival of Beer 2012 is here! Unfortunately, last year the Cape Town Festival of Beer was on the same weekend at Synergy, therefore, I was bummed that I couldn’t attend because festivals about food are my favourite (after music!). Luckily this year they’re not clashing so it’s summer-beer-action all the way. The organisers have decided to take all the Computicket hate generated this year and are using the services of Webtickets, yay!
Craft beers have become more and more popular over recent years with companies like Darling Breweries and &Union promoting craft beers and this year’s Beer Festival features even more beers from over 50 local and international breweries. The festival is held at Hamilton’s Rugby club in Green point, where the weekend’s rugby will be broadcast on big screens around the event.
Some of the beer-centric events that will feature this year include beer tours, brewing demonstrations, blind tastings, beer judging, merchandise for sale, workshops and the BEERLYMPICS?! This is going to be a laugh for sure!
Buy your early bird tickets from Webtickets for R70 that includes entrance, tasting and limited edition mug. Other tickets are on sale for R100 if you miss the beer worm 😉 . See you on November 23 – 25th!!!
Also, don’t forget that the shuttle from Obz to Town is available so if you’re living in the suburbs, check out the party bus and save money getting home and not needed to drink and drive. Cab it to town (R30) then hop on the party bus for R5 a pop, read more HERE. #WeHeartPartyTime! Visit the Cape Town Festival of Beer website to find out more…
