Being nearly half Irish, I’ve always been a fan of St Paddy’s day. Who isn’t looking for an excuse to have a few pints, be merry and giddy? And the Irish want you to join in too!
Wild Clover Farm in association with 4Leaf Agency and the South African Irish Association is having a BIG St Paddy’s Day Festival next Saturday afternoon in Stellenbosch. Drinks, shamrocks, green, gold, music, food, prizes, Irish dancing displays, FUN, it’s ALL on the menu! As well as something known as the ‘Black Stuff’?!
The Wild Clover Farm is home to the Wild Clover Brewery, Winery and Coffee Roastery. Whilst Director of 4Leaf Agency, Frankie Hannigan (an Irishman of course) has been searching for decent St Paddy’s Day parties in Cape Town, he felt that the locals weren’t doing justice and, hence, created the St Paddy’s Day Festival! Hannigan encourages EVERYONE to dress up! Green, gold, leprechauns, clovers, pots of gold and more green, GO WILD! The best dressed with be rewarded throughout the day.
“St Patrick’s Day is all about coming together and celebrating the culture and sprit of Irish tradition with food, friends and festivity”, said Frankie Hannigan. “We look forward to the event and to seeing Cape Town and Stellenbosch locals join us for what will be a St Paddy’s Day to remember!”.
