I have to hand it to the CTEMF for trying to do something creative in the launch of their 2014 line up. Instead of just announcing the artists they made it interactive. Of course I know this is great marketing and good for SEO too, but what’s wrong with that?
The Cape Town Electronic Music Festival is a proudly South African festival that creates a platform for electronic artists from hip hop to minimal to show case their taste and art. Usually held at the V & A Waterfront, I figured something was up when I saw a new car park being built where the dance floor used to be! I think the CTEMF really has the potential to grow into a global, world class event but think it’s a bit of a blow that their location has had to change, however, having said that I think the Grand Parade is another great venue (potentially even better?!) 2014 will tell 😀
So! Artists for 2014. Each visitor to the site had to pick a block. If they picked the right one they were rewarded with a full weekend pass. If they didn’t win then they contributed to the line up being revealed a little bit more. The three headliners are currently: Dixon (House), Jazzy Jay (Hip Hop) and Noisia (Drum n Bass) and one of the biggest and best bass producers of all time: BENGA!
This is one of the best line ups (in my opinion) that any festival has had up until this time (apart from Skunk Anansie but let me not cry over THAT again!).
The Cape Town Electronic Music Festival (CTEMF) Tickets are available from Webtickets for R350 at this time (early bird). GET MOVING!!! These are going to sell out FAST.
