[CLOSED] A Valentine’s Day Hamper with Obikwa

I wanted to share some beautiful images with you from a few weeks ago when I went to Oudekraal after work. It was a 30 something degree day and I couldn’t bare sitting inside after being at the office all day. So when I got home I convinced Mr Love to go on a ride with me, to the other side of the mountain, to watch the sun set.

We wound our way around the mountain and parked under the 12 apostles. It turned out to be one of the most insane sunsets that I’ve seen in Cape Town for a while. I looked up at Lion’s Head and watched camera flashes go off. A few days later I saw my brother had posted pictures of the same sunset from the top of Lion’s head – we had no idea where were looking at the same sunset from the top and bottom of the mountain!Sunset at Oudekraal, Cape TownThe sunset didn’t seem like much (albeit very pleasant), yet after we thought it had set for good, suddenly the fire burst into “energade” orange, as I call it. It was unbelievable! The sea transformed from silver to orange, magic!Sunset in Cape TownThere were a few other couples and families there who were also taking in the sunset. One of whom had brought along a set of tables and chairs – what a good idea. So when Obikwa approached me offering 2 picnic hampers for readers this Valentine’s day, I immediately thought of Oudekraal and watching the beautiful sunset with a toot.Sunset in Cape Town 2015
