Heritage Day is coming and more than EVER I want to hear the stories of South Africans and how we came to be in our precious land. 2020 has been totally crazy so I feel like sticking together as a country, and putting ourselves first, has never been more important.
Who Do You Think You Are?
As many of you know, I was made in Zimbabwe, born in South Africa but raised (mostly) in Namibia. I’m of British and Irish descent and my folks have even had our DNA tested to find out where we’re REALLY from. And yeah – we’re British, Irish with a smidge of Scandinavian.
Last year I went to the EPIC Irish Museum in Dublin to learn even more about my Irish ancestry, did you know Rihanna and Tom Cruise also have Irish roots? It’s fascinating!
