Today I want to talk about doing what's right. This is my iPhone screensaver. Yes, it's @Oprah.

You won't believe the amount of times people bring it up! At work, in bars, in shops, it seems to fascinate people that I have Oprah as my screensaver - and THAT fascinates ME!
.
Why WOULDN'T I want to be reminded daily of:
.
▪️Are you trying to live your best life?
▪️You teach people how to treat you.
▪️Is this the best decision for you?
▪️Is this the best decision for the people who love you most?
▪️Are you playing fair?
.
This an extremely short list of what Oprah reminds me of every single day.
.
But it's a constant reminder that I need to do what's right even if there's no medal in the post or an influx of Instagram likes.
.
▪️STOP facilitating people who do NOT have YOUR best interests at heart.
▪️STOP being taken advantage of: trick me once, shame on you, trick me twice, shame on ME.
▪️If you want to talk shit about someone, be sure you'd say it to their face.
▪️There's no shame in being honest if things in life have changed, but be transparent. ▪️STOP using people to serve yourself, it's one of the most dishonest things a person can do.
▪️You set an example to others around you. Everyone is looking up to someone.
.
The fish rots from the head. Make sure you're doing what's best for yourself AND for others around you. "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
.
Make sure you're not spending your life alone in this world. If you are, it's time to look inside and acknowledge where your responsibility lies in where those who loved you have gone.
.
And if you needed to cut them lose, it won't feel good at first, but it will feel good at last.

Who wants to run away and go work outside somewhere? Meeeee!!!

▪️Look, with youth unemployment at 39% I’m NOT going to complain about having a job!!! But when the weather looks like this it is hella tempting to want to get out there and do something!
▪️It’s also my birthday next week! Have you done anything fun for yours? Looking for ideas here peoples!
▪️I managed to make R600 go pretty damn far at the shop last night. That doesn’t sound like something to be thankful for since the cost of living is beyond at the moment, but I was quite pleased with myself. I even got met at Franky Fenner! (Better quality meat lasts longer and you use less.)
▪️Also happy I got my vlog out last night! Making videos weekly is no joke, I dunno how Casey Neistat did it DAILY!
▪️I slept well last night cause I kicked Loople out. Sorry cat, love you but my sleep gotta come first!

Yesterday was a happy day! @julianlocationsound & @le_ah_funky were visiting from Switzerland and we had a fab braai!

▪️Thank you to @missusrude for putting so much effort into setup including salads, candles, glasses, dessert, etc. ▪️Thankbyou @rudeone for literally braaiing for 3 hours straight and everything was cooked to perfection, literally.
▪️Shout to @surayapandor for driving us to the shops - my thighs legit hurt after that barely existent hill walk.
▪️Thank you @pihadonna for attending and giving me my first sip of alcohol for the day, which I really needed 😂
▪️And to @hyphenza for shopping and also for proving there is little to no wind in #SeaPoint!

I wish every Sunday could be this way 🖤
