[CLOSED] Electric SA on the Ultra Cape Town Line Up, Feb 14th.

Ultra Music Festival is one of the world’s biggest trance dance events and this February Electric SA is hosting Ultra in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Electric SA partner Shaun Duvet is well known in the Cape Town club scene due to his various venues over the years as well as his house DJ sets. I asked Shaun to briefly comment on the artists coming to South Africa to help us learn a bit more about who’s who in the Ultra zoo:

Alesso:

SD: One of the hottest rising stars in dance music. His track with One Republic ‘Lose Myself’ is nominated for a grammy.

Nicky Romero:

SD: Nicky has only played in SA once before. As a DJ and producer Nicky works very closely with acts like David Guetta and Afrojack. His stadium filling records can be heard in nearly every headline DJs set.

Krewella:

SD: Without doubt the most energetic act of 2013. Their bass/ pop/ electro/ dubstep/ trap crossover sound are incredible for festivals. Get ready for one crazy show!

W&W:

SD: Something for the trance and progressive heads. W&W have positioned themselves as a powerful act in recent history by filling up clubs and festivals across the planet.

Martin Garrix:

SD: The hottest thing in dance music right now! Martin Garrix breakthrough record – Animals has been a number 1 hit across every radio station on the planet and the You Tube video has been downloaded over 100 000 000 times! He is also only 17 years old!

Blaster Jaxx:

SD: Upcoming dutch electro superstars have worked with everyone from Hardwell, Mak J and beyond. They have also had massive success in South Africa with their smash hit fifteen.

Claude Von Stroke:

SD: The kingpin of dirty Bird records and underground house music. Claude Von Stroke brings a sound of the deepest, dirtiest and sexiest basslines in house and techno. He will be headlining the second stages

We also have a “best foot forward” but predictable SA line up – which is fine. Why were these DJs selected? Does Electric SA feel sense of responsibility to showcase our best acts, etc.?

SD: Ultra is a world wide festival with the world’s eyes literally on us at every move. It is our priority to highlight SA’s hottest DJs and the best up and comers in their respective sounds and put them on the world stage.

Those with the early bird tickets (R600) are laughing all the way but don’t miss out. This is a world class event and if the Hardwell in Cape Town show was anything to go by, you do NOT want to miss this!
