[WIN] Tickets to Live at Vergenoegd Sunday Concert Series 2016

Vergenoegd Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is excited to announce the launch of its first-ever summer music concert series, Live@Vergenoegd. Sadly, I’ve never been to Vergenoegd (even though I’ve driven past countless times!), BUT I’ve seen the famous duck parade online (where the farm’s ducks run through like a flood of ducks!) and I’m really keen to visit. This summer they get their own concert series with the performances by Goodluck, Art Matthews, Monark, Jimmy Nevis and Arno Carstens.

Sunday 6th of November 2016 – GOODLUCK

Goodluck are known for their incredible and energetic live performances and their music is an irresistible blend of electronica, pop and subtle influences of jazz. The trio have toured Africa, Europe and the UK with their unique sound.

Sunday, 4th December 2016 – ARD MATTHEWS (Just Jinger)

As the front man of South African band, Just Jinjer, Ard Matthews has become sought-after as a solo artist with the release of his debut solo album in the winter of 2012 to critical acclaim.

Sunday, 8th January 2017 – MONARK

Performing as a four-piece band, Monark deliver something completely fresh and unique. The band is setting trends and stirring up tastes in the South African music landscape.

Sunday, 5th of February 2017 – JIMMY NEVIS

Look forward to Capetonian Jimmy Nevis’s alternative pop sound live on stage. This young musician’s hits include singles ‘Heartboxing’, ‘Balloon’, and ‘7764’.

Sunday, 5th of March 2017 – ARNO CARSTENS

Platinum selling, award winning, singer-songwriter Arno Carstens needs little introduction. Over his 20-year career, he has released 12 albums; five as lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls, one as part of electronica project Bhelltower and six as a solo artist.

Ideally situated between Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Somerset West, just off the N2, Vergenoegd is the perfect Sunday concert venue no matter where you’re coming from. In just 30 minutes you can be parked, camped out on the grass, with a delicious glass of Runner Duck white or red in hand, ready for the concert to start. Small fold-up chairs and umbrellas are allowed in the designated area.

While you are not allowed to bring your own drinks to this particular concert series, there will be Vergenoegd wine, food and drinks will be on sale on the day, as well as a dedicated kids’ area to keep the little ones entertained.
