The news of The Upbeats tour to South Africa was spilt earlier on in the year when their website published the dates before Grietfest had a chance to announce the gig. Cape Town will NEVER miss out and I presume they’re unable to make the Cape Town leg of the Grietfest tour so they’ll be playing at Fiction.
The New Zealand duo, The Upbeats, have worked with local electronic songstress Tasha Baxter as well as drum n bass hard style duo Noisia amongst others and will be in Cape Town for one night only. It Came From the Jungle, Cape Town’s longest running weekly drum n bass night, will be hosting The Upbeats on August 29th, 2013 at Fiction. Tickets are available for R50 limited pre-sold at Webtickets, R70 thereafter and R80 at the door.
