Oh dear. Seems Jack Parow’s forgotten he’s not in Parow any more. This very morning I went to work and explained that Oppikoppi just isn’t like other South African festivals. People REALLY push the limits and get a little over excited with all the fun offered at the music festival. And it seems Jack Parow is leading the way…let’s hope he gets out to have round two!
From his press agent:
“Jack Parow was detained in the early hours of this morning on charges of allegedly disturbing the peace. Parow and some friends were staying at the Vaalkop dam 60 km South East of Northam where the popular Oppikoppi BewilderBeast music festival is taking place this weekend. Parow and a friend took a catamaran out on a joy ride on the dam at about 1:30 am on Wednesday morning. After repeated requests over loud hailers Parow and his friend finally returned to shore.
Both co-operated and came quietly, but repeatedly tried to explain to the authorities that they had simply “borrowed” the boat. Parow and his friend are currently being detained for public disorder and disturbing the peace.
Jack Parow was scheduled to perform at the Oppikoppi festival on Sunday, and is currently unavailable for comment.”
Come on boef! Jacky just wanted to visit some duckies. (See above.) I think Parow’s willingness to co-operate shows that he meant no harm. How about you give him a fine and let his fans see him this weekend? If we gotta pay our TV licences (which is pretty much day light robbery) then you can let Parow out on a night time play-play robbery 😉
