Confession: I’m probably not Incubus’s BIGGEST fan
But hear me out. I think claiming to be anyone’s biggest fan is brave because there will ALWAYS be someone crazier and way more fanatic than you are. Always.
What I can say is that I have loved Incubus since the first time I heard Wish You Were Here and from after school (2005) I have followed, watched live dvds, listened to all the albums over and over and laughed and cried a million times over Brandon Boyd’s angelic voice and poetic meaningful lyrics. Incubus has been there for me in good and bad times and especially the good times.
In December 2006 my mates and I went to Tofo, Mozambique for the 1st time and Light Grenades was just released that November, we listened to that album stukkend that holiday and that holiday is still one of my top 5 holidays ever.
Incubus had a competition for their fans to make a music video for the song “Dig” and their favourite fan video would become the official music video.
So that December in Tofo the conditions was like nature putting up a show, showing of. Huge waves, crazy hot weather, warm water, rainstorms, beer, Tipotinto, starry nights, good food, cool people, kiff locals, parties till way after sunrise, snorkeling, exploring. Just the best.
We didn’t have film cameras but we kept on elaborating on our plans and shots for our music video and listening to Incubus as our holiday sound track just made the holiday that much more fun. In our minds our non existing Tofo holiday is the official Dig music video.
I just love Incubus so much and this would probably make me cry if I win because I just can’t buy a ticket right now.
allllll done!!
Been a massive fan since the beginning There songs are so real and connect to everyday life and this is why i enjoy them so much. What would be even more epic is seeing them from GC.
